This training will be in English and consist of 3 online sessions, with tasks to be conducted between the sessions. It is important that you and your partner organisation participate in all three sessions, and that you have time to do an online meeting (aprox 45 min) with you partner in between the sessions.

We expect participants to read relevant parts of the project guide prior to each session, as only some parts of the content will be repeated during the sessions.

Groups/partnerships are expected to conduct an exercise in MIRO - an online whiteboard tool. This will enable us to give you individual feedback to your work. The exercise will use your own project/case.

28-10-2026 from 3 to 5 PM CET: Online Session 1

We will introduce you to the concept of this training and to the learning site that supports the training.

Presentation of content: Introduction to Project planning and design.

Preparation:

• You will need to do short exercises on the learning platform Fabo.org.
• You are expected to read the CISU project guide page 1 to 37 before the online session 2, as well as the case “Young in the City”.

There will be an exercise for you to conduct in your participating group before the next session.

4-11-2026 from 3 to 5 PM CET: Online Session 2

Presentation of content:

Step 1: Context and problem analysis, as well as stakeholder analysis. Making the project choice.

Step 2: Concepts for project design, with focus on theory of change

There will be an exercise for you to conduct in your participating group before the next session.

• You will work on applying some of the tools presented for the context and problem analysis.
• You are expected to read the remaining pages of the CISU project guide before the online session 3.

11-11-2026 from 3 to 5 PM CET: Online Session 3:

Presentation of content:

• There will be a structured Q&A session about the topics you have prepared for today.
• Step 2 continued: Concepts for project design, wiht focus on result frameworks..
• Step 3: Inception phase
• There will further be group session on how to apply specific tools to support project design.

Home exercise (1 hour exercise, 1 hour reading):

Exercise (Danish CSO together with partner): You will apply some of the learned by elaborating a Theory of Change and a Result Framework by yourself.

You are expected to read the CISU project guide page 83 to 104 before the online session 4.

Followup

• All groups/partnerships are expected to complete an exercise online. We will make individual written comments to your work.
• You will have access to the learning platform Fabo.org if you wish to revise some topics or access relevant resources.
