DERF has approved an additional allocation of DKK 2 million to call 26-002-SO: Severe Drought in Somalia.
Several DERF calls were opened concurrently in January and February. As not all allocated funds were utilised across these calls, surplus funds remained. Against this background — and taking into account the high level of demand reflected in the number of applications received under the call responding to the severe drought in Somalia — DERF has increased the allocation.
No changes have been made to the call conditions, eligibility requirements, or assessment procedures. The additional allocation simply enables DERF to fund a greater number of projects under this specific call. The call window closed on 16 February. DERF will therefore not receive additional applications. The adjustment solely enables funding decisions for a larger number of projects among the applications already received.
This decision was made under very specific and exceptional circumstances and should be understood strictly as a one-off adjustment. It does not constitute a change in DERF’s funding practice.
