Heavy rainfall since mid-March 2026 has caused widespread flooding across Malawi, particularly in southern districts. The crisis has resulted in loss of life, destruction of homes, crops, and infrastructure, and displacement of households, disrupting access to essential services and leaving vulnerable communities in urgent need of assistance.
