Resume

In recent months, the political party “Georgian Dream” has launched an aggressive campaign to consolidate power, undermine democratic governance, lead Georgia away from the EU path and diminish civic space. This has included electoral irregularities, violations of voting rights, excessive use of force against peaceful protesters, and persecution, torture, and inhuman treatment of demonstrators. The government also exploits poverty and social vulnerability for political gain, deepening social inequality rather than addressing it. This project seeks to address the intersection of authoritarian governance, the social protection system and poverty, while empowering a new generation of professionals to advocate for social justice. The goal is to increase critical awareness of systemic inequalities, strengthen youth and civil society, and integrate social justice issues into Georgia’s political and civic agendas.
