Due to the global spread of Corona virus Bangladesh government has declared country wide lockdown. Consequently, day laborers, rickshaw pullers, abandoned women, single mothers etc., who live from hand to mouth, have no access to work and hence no income. No money means no food, and hundred thousands of families are falling into bottomless debt and are starving. This forces them to defy the lock-down. They would rather risk becoming ill with Covid19 than starving at home, hereby contributing to spread of COVID19. - This intervention will provide cash for purchase of essential food items to approx. 1.200 households in Dinajpur and Thakurgaon Districts, enabling them to stay at home for one more month.
