Resume

The project strengthens psychosocial resilience and community-based support systems for war-affected children and veterans’ families in Ukraine. It will reach approximately 2,500 children through structured trauma-sensitive psychosocial programmes and 80 trauma-affected veterans’ families through intensive residential family-based trauma recovery interventions. In addition, 500 local volunteers will be trained in trauma-sensitive support, safeguarding, and accountability, strengthening civil society capacity. The intervention responds to locally identified gaps in accessible mental health and family reintegration support. Through structured activities, participatory feedback mechanisms, and cooperation with local authorities, the project contributes to improved wellbeing, stronger family resilience, and enhanced legitimacy of community-based civil society actors in Ukraine’s recovery process. The project is co-financed with DKK 50,000 raised prior to implementation.
