Resume

The ASMA IV programme will improve oral health and well-being among app. 6100 children and adolescents, and 1100 parents in vulnerable communities in Palestine by strengthening and sustaining daily preventive oral health practices at school, at home, and in the community. Through supervised toothbrushing, parental training, youth peer education, and dental missions, children will develop lasting oral hygiene habits, reducing pain, absenteeism, and long-term health risks. The programme strengthens local ownership by training teachers, parent mentors, youth, community volunteers, and civil society actors to sustain activities independently. Implemented by Dental Health Without Borders in partnership with Palestinian Medical Relief Society, the programme also strengthens coordination and commitment with public authorities to integrate preventive oral health into school and community structures for better access for children in Palestine.
