Resume

he UN 2019 Resolution to the Convention on the Rights of the Child reaffirms every child’s right to grow up in a family environment. This project aims to reduce child separation in Helambu, Nepal by strengthening local systems that will protect vulnerable children and families. The drivers of child separation in Nepal is poverty, lack of local social and child protective services. Traditionally marginalized groups who are most exposed to separation will be enabled so they advocate for access to better support and the right to influence local policy. Lessons from Helambu will be shared with national and international groups who promote the 2019 Resolution.
