The intervention aims to strengthen regional support structures for the marginalized LGBTQ+ community in Shirak and Lori in northern Armenia, by providing essential services, safe spaces, and promoting regional LGBTQ+ solidarity. This entails maintaining and strengthening two LGBTQ+ community centers that offer psychological and social support, addressing challenges such as social isolation and stigma experienced by the target group, and organizing a regional forum for LGBT+ solidarity, which will bring together over 50 LGBTQ+ community members and allies from all regions of Armenia to exchange knowledge, build advocacy strategies, and foster a sense of community. This intervention builds on previous successful efforts, incorporating lessons learned, such as the value of informal learning and creative activities, to support local LGBTQ+ communities and strengthen regional advocacy for human rights.
