The purpose of the SAIFOS project (Support to Affected IDPs in Food Security) is to improve food security for 450 newly displaced households in Pensa municipality (Province of Sanmatenga) in the Centre Nord region in Burkina Faso from March 1st to May 31st 2020 (three months). Data published by the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) Consortium shows that 3,800 individuals (543 households) recently have moved to Pensa following attacks by armed groups. These populations are extremely vulnerable.
