Målgrupper
The program targets five districts in Northern Region in Ghana with a population number of 265.000 people. The program specifically targets 163 CBOs, 120 VSLAs, 5 youth centres with 3000 members, 14 farmer networks, 10 education networks, 14 CBO networks, 1000 entrepreneurs, 500 young women literacy learners, 28 networks of community monitors, 375 revenue collectors, 5 district steering committees, 15 girls clubs in schools, 375 children in children parliaments, 30 agribusiness groups and district authorities in the five districts making a total direct target group of 15200 people approximately tageting men and women 50 - 50.

The program objective is that civil society actors contribute to increased equity and sustainable development in Ghana. This will be addressed through three interlinked thematic areas: Governance, Education and Inclusive Growth & Employment. The governance intervention aims to improve government transparency, accountability and performance through civil society engagement. Within education the aim that civil society organizations contribute to improved distribution and use of resources in education. The outcome of the Inclusive Growth and Employment intervention is that rural communities are climate adaptive and have improved livelihoods and resilience. In general the thematic areas have focus on the development challenges of women and youth. The program will be implemented in 5 districts in Northern Region with increased focus on national and international advocacy through expanded outreach of the local partners, Ghana Developing Communities Association and Youth Empowerment for Life.
