In 2024, the partner-group successfully realized the Africa Engage pilot. Aligned with the Danish Africa Strategy, we launch the next ambitious manifestation of African film in 2026: 1) African Film & Filmmakers in Danish Classrooms Students in 10 schools meet African filmmakers, who present discuss their films about global development from an African perspective. 2) African Films & Debates with Danish Audiences 3 African Filmmakers present their films in competition and join Panels & Debates for the CPH:DOX festival audiences - all ages. 3) African Delegation & Danish Producers 7 African filmmakers solidify the African presence at CPH:DOX and take active part in professional meetings together with Danish producers. 4) The Africa Engage Plan & the Danish Africa Strategy A long-term plan for equal collaboration is in development, since its initiation in the aftermath of Africa Engage 2024. The partner group expands their research with key stakeholders in Denmark and Africa.
