Primary: 1.500 children without birth certificates 300 children victims of exploitation 15.000 children at risk or victims of exploitation (0-18 years) 30 Child/Youth advocates Secondary: 15 civil society organizations who will participate in Child Justice Alliance 10 policy makers in relevant parliamentary committees 15.000 parents and guardians of children 20 representatives from five (5) key Justice Operators
Resume
The overall objective of the intervention is “to improve access to justice for 15.000 children at risk/ or victims of exploitation in two highly vulnerable communities in Harare (Mbare and Epworth)”. By organizing and capacity-building key civil society actors in Zimbabwe to advocate for children's right to justice, 15.000 children shall be empowered to know their right to protection and participation. 1.500 children shall be assisted to acquire birth certificates, 300 children who are victims of exploitation shall be identified and assisted in reporting to competent authorities and 100 of the most vulnerable children shall be provided legal counselling and representation. The intervention will leave behind a set of sustainable structures that enable civil society to continue monitoring and holding accountable key Justice Operators who are responsible for ensuring access to justice for children in Zimbabwe.
