This project aims to improve the livelihoods, protection, and climate resilience of women and youth displaced by climate-induced disasters in IDP settlements in Buroa, Togdheer region in Somaliland, a community increasingly vulnerable due to recurring droughts and socio-economic marginalization. Through a comprehensive and gender-responsive approach, the project will deliver market-relevant vocational and business skills training, life skills development, and access to seed capital to catalyze micro-enterprise and self-employment. These interventions will directly empower displaced women and youth to generate income, reduce family separation, and contribute to community purchase power. The project will diversify income-generating opportunities through introducing climate-smart urban farming to enhance food security and child nutrition.
