Resume

The intervention aims to reduce poverty in rural Mongolia by stimulating economic activity among low-income families, particularly through the creation of cooperatives for micro and small enterprises. Building on previous successes, the project has supported entrepreneurs in launching micro and small businesses, as well as in forming Savings and Loan groups within rural communities. These efforts have empowered participating families, laying the groundwork for economic stability, and providing financing opportunities for entrepreneurs. The initiative also aims to strengthen local branches of the Social Partnership Network (NTS) to better serve these communities and advocate for greater government support. The pilot project will test innovative methods for cooperative development, with the overarching goal of strengthening civil society and civic engagement in Mongolia. Additionally, it seeks to further develop the competencies established in earlier phases of the project.
