This 4-month project aims to break the cycle of period poverty among girls and young women aged 10–24 in underserved areas of Pakwach district, Uganda. By combining menstrual hygiene education, hands-on training, and a social entrepreneurship model, the initiative will empower 600 girls across 3 parishes to manage their periods with dignity. Fifteen out-of-school youth and 45 students will be trained as pad makers, eco-social entrepreneurs, and Period Dignity Champs, creating and distributing reusable, eco-friendly menstrual pads. The project strengthens reproductive health, reduces school absenteeism, and promotes income generation. It supports SDG 3 (health), SDG 4 (education), SDG 5 (gender equality), SDG 8 (decent work), and SDG 11 (sustainable communities).
