The overall objective of the intervention is: A more cohesive and united grassroots front working towards expanding ecological justice for people living in low-income communities located along the Nairobi River The specific objectives of the intervention are: 1) Strengthened organisational capacity of Mathare Social Justice Centre 2) Enhanced community consensus and action on ecological justice in Mathare 3) Amplified co-learning and collaboration between riverside communities across Nairobi on ecological justice By achieving these objectives, we expect to witness a bigger network of youth groups actively transforming the environment in Mathare, and stronger collaboration between youth groups and social justice centres across Nairobi around a shared agenda for ecological justice.
