Umiddelbar målsætning 1 By 2017 the 10 TANCDA branches are effective and working with functional governance and core activities: recruitment, awareness, advocacy and patient support. TANCDAs central leadership has streamlined its governance capacity and developed its capacity to influence through strategic advocacy based on evidence Umiddelbar målsætning 2 By 2017 the 10 branches has created awareness about NCDs their symptoms and risk factors among citizens and decision makers Umiddelbar målsætning 3 By 2017 TANCDA has worked successfully to influence the government to prioritise prevention and control of NCDs in national policies and budget and to prioritize capacity development in primary health facilities and awareness in communities

Primary target group The NCD Alliance with its whole structure, NCDA Board, member association boards, committees set up to handle special commitments and branches. In total about 250 people. 356 Members of Parliament 12000 people in communities (150 people x 4 times a year x 10 branches x 2 years) through outreaches in each of branches. 10 million people through mass media like radio and television. 20 people in MoHSW 20 people in prime minister’s office 40 people from regional administration 100 cross sector stakeholders other relevant ministries, civil society organisations and private business Secondary target group Ministry of Health and Social Welfare WHO Tanzania Local Health Authorities in two zones Local government (councils) in two zones 80 Health professionals in branch areas Hospital management in district health facilities Television stations (5) Radio stations (12) Newspapers (5) Ambassadors (3)
Resume
Tanzania NCD Alliance vil videreudvikle og konsolidere sin kapacitet for at blive en stærk interesseorganisation for NCD patienter, pårørende og folk som er engageret i kampen mod NCDs. Kapaciteten vil blive udviklet i en aktions læringsproces, hvor TANCDA arbejder for politisk handling fra regeringen igennem lobby aktiviteter og oplysning i befolkningen. Det er centralt for projektet, at TANCDA når ud til de fattigste i byer fjernt fra hovedstaden. Derfor konsolideres 10 lokalafdelinger igennem kapacitetsudvikling og gennemførelse af oplysningskampagner, politisk interessevaretagelse, patientstøtte og medlemsrekruttering. Videreudvikling af ledelse og ledelsessystemer samt monitorerings- og evalueringssystemer vil være centralt med udgangspunkt i Civicus LTA og Mango principperne. Indsamling af viden vil være et centralt element i det politiske arbejde og indgå som et stærkt strategisk element.
