Young minority-faith women in Sri Lanka's Northern and Eastern Provinces face rising technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) and hate speech, where gender and faith intersect against a backdrop of weak legal protection, often leaving them to navigate threats alone. This project responds from both sides: with two CBOs, it equips 50 young women with digital safety and leadership skills to protect themselves and lead community advocacy, while training 40 local duty bearers to respond effectively to TFGBV. Structured dialogue between both groups surfaces lived experience and shapes practical solutions. GBV desks within partner CBOs give survivors a real place to report and be supported, while emerging civil society coalitions in each province build coordinated responses. The result: amplified voices, safer online spaces, and stronger trust between women and the institutions meant to protect them.
