The current political, social and economical context in Moldova is characterised by political polarisation and a wide economic urban-rural divide alienating the youth in rural areas and preventing them from participating in the debate concerning their potential membership of the EU. Through youth-to-youth activities in schools, VET institutions and youth centers, the project will counter lack of participation and opportunities for youth by engaging 605 directly and indirectly as well as 10 teachers and 10 pupils from the rural areas. The aim of strengthened participation among the rural youth necessitates innovative didactics to be developed by capacity building of the organisations and facilitators. The result is an improved ability to disseminate and engage the youth during 4 different types of activities in 15 different regions. On a long-term scale, the project will aim to strengthen the local opportunities by advocating for the issue with duty-bearers as well.
