The aim of the intervention is to increase capacities of local communities in Costa Rica, Haiti, El Salvador and Brazil to respond to human rights violations, through strengthening the grassroots organizing and alliance building between social movements. This will happen through a combination of political education of frontline communities, research and monitoring and advocacy on national and international level, which will be conducted by the organizations who take part in this intervention. The target group is environmental human rights defenders (EHRDs) and their communities.
