This project aims to enhance the position of marginalised youth in the Namibian San communities around Tsumkwe and Mangetti and potentially beyond. This will happen through a 3 pronged approach, including: 1) Organisational support for the //ana-jeh San Trust (//AST) and its community network to play a more proactive role in developing agency, leadership and voice in SAN youth and being an effective local and national advocacy organisation; 2) Support //AST to work with a broader group of San Youth to develop skills to deal with the complex range of personal, family and societal problems facing them and in the process develop future leaders with agency and voice; 3) Advocacy work both at the local level in the project areas in relation to both governmental, traditional and other community structures, as well as nationally with different government agencies.
