Lebanon's LGBTIQ+ internally displaced persons (IDPs) face a compounding crisis. Over 1.2 million people have been displaced since March 2026, yet LGBTIQ+ individuals are systematically excluded from the humanitarian response, notably from accessing shelter which forms the primary gateway to humanitarian assistance, because of documented risk of queerphobic violence. Over 6 months, LGBT+ Denmark and the Lebanese LGBTIQ+ organisation MOSAIC will deliver an integrated emergency response for hyper-vulnerable LGBTIQ+ IPDs: safe shelter for 20 individuals, emergency cash assistance for 40 individuals, food parcels for 300 individuals, and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) for 20 individuals through 140 sessions. The intervention fills a critical and documented gap in Lebanon's humanitarian response and will prevent homelessness, exploitation, violence, and further suffering among some of the most invisible and vulnerable individuals affected by this crisis.
