The proposed intervention aims to provide life-saving support to households affected by the ongoing drought in Eel-Afweyn District, Somaliland. The response will prioritize the most vulnerable groups, including female-headed households, children under five, pregnant and lactating women, elderly persons, and individuals with disabilities, who face heightened risks during this crisis. To address urgent humanitarian needs, the intervention will deliver unconditional cash assistance, enabling households to purchase essential items such as food, safe drinking water, medicines, and other basic household necessities. Cash support will be implemented with integrated protection safeguards to ensure safe and equitable access for all beneficiaries, particularly those at highest risk.
