The intervention strengthens the resilience and democratic participation of civil society actors in Georgia and Armenia. In Georgia, human rights defenders face increasing repression, psychological pressure and restrictions on civic space. The partner organisation NDOBA will provide individual psychosocial support, resilience training and practical self-help tools to enable them to continue their work safely and sustainably. In Armenia, particularly in the border regions of Tavush and Lori, communities are affected by displacement, socio-economic hardship and exposure to misinformation. Democracy Today will deliver civic education and media literacy programmes for youth, educators and media representatives, integrating mental health awareness, thus preparing for the election in Armenia due 7th June 2026. The project further builds a long-term partnership between the two organisations through joint learning and exchange to enhance organisational resilience and coordinated action.
