Acute food insecurity in Somalia/Somaliland has drastically worsened since the beginning of 2022. Further and faster deterioration of the food security and nutrition situation is expected during the April to June 2022 projection period, when more than 6 million people are expected to face Crisis or worse (IPC Phase 3 or higher) outcomes. Guryosamo and our local partner will target the moste vulnerable group affected by the drought in Toogdheer region in Somaliland. The target group will be the following vulnerable groups; HH headed by the women, children, elders, disabled people and families there has lost their livestock due to the severe drought in the region. And last but least families with large number of children who has signs of malnutrition. Those vulnerable people will get both clean hygiene kits and household food ration in 3 months. We will cover transportation of food and non-food items to the nearest distribution point (NDP)
