The Close out Phase, SEAS III, will build up a long lasting capacity of Farmer Fields Environmental Learning Groups (FFELGs), Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs), District Environment and Climate Advocacy Platform (DECAP) and Media Champions to disseminate the outcomes of the SEAS project to political leaders, other rural associations and the surrounding communities in general. This will be done by empowering the FFELGs/VSLAs and by creation of strong enlightenment and advocacy structures (DECAP and Media). FFELGs will be strengthened by enrolling 140 young people. This will make the group composition more representative and a starting point for an increased youth engagement and trust aimed at a sustainable future in rural areas. VSLAs will play an important role in this process through their focus on collective investments and micro-business initiatives. DECAP and Media Champion Groups are new initiatives which are of decisive importance for a successful advocacy strategy.
