The fashion and technology tailoring training center established by SI Tororo & District 2 DK at Kisoko Dida Uganda is set up to train individuals for making tailored garments. The project main goal is to improve the lives and status of women through education to achieve financial, social independence and empowerment. The aim is to train towards income from ie shops, job at a factory, own business through knowledge of fabric quality, skills in cutting and stitching textiles & interior decoration The project involves: • Improving sustainable living conditions in the local society and families • Increase access to learning opportunities • Access to economic empowerment and opportunities through employment of women and eliminate violence against them • Ensure food security and access to a high standard of health care of women and their families The center is working on initiating a working environment for easier implementation, monitoring & evaluation, outcome & feedback in learning.
