1. To enhance a satisfactory and dignified life for children living with HIV/AIDS in Bangura, Betera, Munyani, Nerutanga, Garamwera and Murambinda in Buhera District, Zimbabwe.

1) By June 2021 the communities in Bangura, Betera, Munyanyi, Nerutanga, Garamwera and Murambinda have organised, rooted and implemented the Psycho Social Method for children living with HIV/AIDS 2) By June 2021 advocacy activities have contributed to ensure and respect Children’s Rights in the communities regarding Protection, Provision and Participation 3) By June 2021 CARC Trust Board has obtained skills and worked out strategies for CARCs organisational and financial sustainability

Primary target groups - 696 Children Living with HIV/AIDS aged 6-18 years total in six communities - 75 caregivers, 44 teachers, traditional leaders, political leaders, 16 Child Care Workers, neighbourhood police and village health workers - CARC Board and Staff Secondary target groups - Government Institutions: Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Department of Social Welfare, Ministry of Women Affairs, Local Government - Others in the community such as neighbors, families without CLHs, sisters and brothers - Civil Society Organisations:

Child and Adolescent Resource Center (CARC), Buhera District, Zimbabwe and Seniorer without Borders has since 2009 cooperated with "We are the Future"-project, which provide psycho social support and activities (PSS) to children and youths living with HIV/AIDS (CLHs) i 8 wards in the district. The aim and the new approach is to root responsibility of PSS activities in six local communities to ensure that PSS will be continued in the future to 696 CLHs. CARC’s staff will be responsible for support, counselling and supervision of the volunteers, CLHs and their caregivers. The advocacy will build on the experiences from the previous intervention.in close dialogue with the local leaders, authorities and duty bearers with regard to children’s rights. The intervention will include training to the members of the Board of the Trust in areas of governance, organisational and financial sustainability.
