Resume

This intervention targets 280 deported Afghan families stranded in Herat after forced return from Iran. They lack shelter, food, transport, and legal identity. The project provides cash-based assistance to 1,960 individuals, enabling them to meet urgent needs with dignity and flexibility. Additionally, 200 undocumented persons will receive legal aid to apply for national ID cards (Tazkira), restoring access to essential services. Accountability mechanisms include UIN-linked feedback systems, WhatsApp, and community-based complaint boxes. The intervention aligns with DERF priorities by targeting vulnerable groups such as women-headed households, elderly, and persons with disabilities, and coordinating with OCHA, UNHCR, IOM, and DoRR. Monitoring and learning will be ensured through post-distribution surveys, FGDs, and monthly reporting. SUAO manages funds via QuickBooks with clear internal controls, ensuring transparent, ethical, and efficient resource use.
