This intervention will deliver life-saving WASH and non-food item (NFI) assistance to vulnerable IDPs in camps and gathering sites in Ad Damazine and Ar Rusayris, Blue Nile State, affected by conflict in Al Kurmuk. Over four months, it will provide hygiene and WASH items, water trucking and chlorination, emergency latrine construction, and shelter support (plastic sheets), alongside essential household items such as sleeping mats, kitchen sets, torches, and mosquito nets. Targeting women, children, PwDs, the elderly, pregnant and lactating women, female-headed households, unaccompanied and separated children, and chronically ill individuals. Protection needs are significant among these crisis-affected populations. Women and girls face heightened risks of gender-based violence (GBV), including sexual exploitation, harassment, abuse, and domestic violence, particularly in overcrowded shelters and areas lacking privacy, lighting, and secure sanitation facilities.
