Eau Pour Tous (EPT) was founded by a coalition of professionals, from academia to artisans, to provide environmental and technical solutions that improve living conditions in the Kara region, including Kétao. Initially, EPT focused on ensuring access to clean, affordable water in rural areas and communities outside the government water network—hence the name "Water for All." Recognizing that water accessibility is influenced by broader environmental factors and following the establishment of the University of Kara in 2004, EPT expanded its scope to include waste management, agroforestry, and the promotion of natural fertilizers such as compost and agricultural residues. This shift led to the creation of a network linking academia and environmental professionals, ultimately formalizing EPT as a non-governmental organization. Today, EPT develops tailored environmental solutions, promotes behavioral change, and advocates for sustainable policies. By integrating local knowledge with technical expertise, it fosters innovative approaches to environmental challenges and empowers citizens to understand and exercise their rights over natural resources.
