MULABA is a Network for the Conservation of Coastal, Maritime and Water Resources Biodiversity of Zambezia, with the purpose of identifying solutions in matters of conservation of Biodiversity, Coastal, Marine and Water Resources and mitigation of the impacts of climate change, in order to ensure a sustainable and resilient development of communities. There is no other organization in the province specialized in climate change and biodiversity issues, the need was seen for the creation of MULABA, as a way to establish an actor that would be more focused on the issues of conservation of coastal biodiversity and the climate change. and make communities more sustainable and resilient in the conservation of biodiversity with a peaceful, inclusive society to achieve Sustainable Development. Soon after its creation, MULABA began its activities with the active participation in the preparing local plans for adaptation to climate change. Later, he engaged in public policy monitoring and advocacy to influence the improvement of public sector performance indicators in the provision of basic services to communities. After these phases, MULABA began to create ties with different Civil Society bodies, based on these alliances, MULABA gained experience that today makes it recognized organization at the provincial level with different actors and communities. The objective of MULABA is to ensure a proficient coordination of civil society and community bodies on the intellectual virtues that guarantee initiatives and actions for the preservation of coastal, maritime and water resources biodiversity so that the environment is not degraded. MULABA has also developed experience in local governance by implementing VozProBA which is a local demorcratization project financed by the EU.
