Glemte kriser: En museumsoplevelse om mennesker på flugt fra DR Congo, Sudan og Uganda

PALM Corps was registered in 2014 at the peak of the South Sudanese influx into northern Uganda in order to work collaboratively to address the humanitarian crisis at the time. The organization envisions a world in which the most vulnerable people (refugees and host communities) live a peaceful, dignified, healthy and productive life while protecting the environment. We provide services in the sectors of livelihoods, basic education, public health and environment. PALM Corps has a functional board comprised of five members (3F, 2M) who approve policies, provide strategic direction and oversight to management. Management is led by the Core Management Team (CMT), which is composed of the Executive Director, Finance Manager, Program Managers and MEAL Manager. The CMT and Team Leaders meet weekly to review and plan activities. General staff meetings are conducted quarterly. The finance department organizes monthly budget performance meetings to ensure compliance with budget provisions, partnership agreements and maintain good fund utilization rate. Project activities are tracked using Kobo and Office365-based M&E system for real time reporting. Annual financial audits are conducted and presented to the board for discussion and continual improvement. Overall PALM Corps employes about 80 technical staff (50M, 40F) who operate in all the refugee hosting districts in northern Uganda. Our activity in livelihood sector focuses on agricultural production and marketing, VSLA and vocational skills training for the youth and women. Nutrition education (Maternal, Infant and Young Child feeding practices) is the main area in public health covered.
