Hands of Hope Community Organisation

Hands of Hope is a community-rooted, membership-based organisation in Tororo, built on the principle of local ownership and inclusive participation. Governance is provided by a Board of directors composed of a chairperson, a vice chairperson, a treasurer and committee members. The Helping Hands Secondary School and Martin Mudodo Health Clinic each have designated representatives who ensure integration of education and health into planning and decision-making. Members collaborate in self-organised groups to design and implement activities. A committed team of 9 voluntary staff facilitates operations and engagement with partners. This structure ensures inclusive leadership and responsive, sustainable action.
