Docubox supports Independent filmmakers in the East African region through grants, capacity-building through workshops and masterclasses, networking opportunities and audience building in the ecosystem through impact screenings in communities and schools and to stakeholders. We believe the world acts and changes through story and that a film is a story’s most powerful medium. Filmmakers, therefore, have an outsize potential to address issues in society in ways that can have extraordinary catalytic reach for action and change. We like to collaborate with like-minded organizations and partners and in the 12 years we have existed, we have held over 80 workshops and masterclasses with over 900 attendees. We have screened over 200 films 65,000 physical audiences and 3.4million online and broadcast audiences
