Myanmar Medical Online Campus MMOC

MMOC consists of public health experts in Myanmar, each of whom graduated from prestigious universities such as Johns Hopkins University, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the London School of Economics, and University of Tokyo. Collectively, we have several years of experience in the public health sector, working with local and international organizations, including UN agencies like MSF, WHO, and UNFPA. We each have specialized areas of interest, and responsibilities have been allocated among team members. We are actively promoting continuing professional development in Myanmar and have implemented healthcare interventions amid the ongoing crisis in the country. During the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we volunteered at isolation centers and hospitals, distributed face masks, and donated oxygen concentrators. In response to the current Myanmar earthquake, we have organized Knowledge Sharing Sessions for humanitarian staff and volunteers on the ground by inviting experts as well as local volunteers and staff to address urgent needs. Additionally, we have conducted fundraising through social media channels to support immediate requirements such as food, drinking water, hygiene kits, toilets, and water storage tanks, etc.
