100% for the Children Kenya

100% for the Children Kenya was established to respond to the growing risks faced by children and youth living in vulnerable urban slum areas in Kenya. The organisation’s purpose is to promote child protection, inclusion, health, and participation by creating safe and supportive community environments. Its primary activities include establishing child- and youth-friendly community spaces that provide protection, learning opportunities, peer support, and platforms for participation in decisions affecting their lives. The organisation strengthens local child protection systems through preventive, community-based initiatives and targeted support for at-risk families. It also works to improve health and hygiene conditions in urban slum schools by introducing sanitation infrastructure, hygiene promotion, and capacity-building for school staff and students. In addition, 100% for the Children Kenya trains teachers, social workers, and community stakeholders on child protection and inclusive practices, and engages in advocacy with government and other stakeholders to promote children’s rights and mobilise resources to achieve its objectives.
