Correlación Contemporánea is a non-profit cultural association and artist-run space, founded in Lima in 2016 by the artists Marco Herrera Fernández and Christi Zorrilla Soto. Since 2017 its work has been based in Iquitos in the Peruvian Amazon. It runs artist residencies in the Amazon, the Andes and online, notably AMAZÓNICA in San Pablo on the Nanay River, together with educational and research programmes and exhibitions. For ten years it has worked with Kukama Kukamiria communities around Iquitos and Nauta, including an archive of voices of Kukama women shown in the anniversary exhibition "A las aguas que suben y bajan" (ICPNA Iquitos, 2026). In May 2025 it hosted the BIOFONIA residency in Iquitos and Nauta, where the song Parana Mamaka was created with the poet Pablo Eli Taricuarima Piñedo and the singer Danna Gaviota. In ECO, Correlación hosts the work in Iquitos and Nauta and facilitates the dialogue with Kukama communities and young people.
