Foreningen TJEKDET - National portal for bekæmpelse af fake news

TjekDet is a non-profit, politically independent fact-checking outlet and media literacy actor operating at national level in Denmark. It was founded in 2016 and fully compliant with the European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN) and certified by the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN). TjekDet investigates and verifies claims in public debate, monitors online misinformation and disinformation, and produces evidence-based journalism to strengthen democratic resilience. The organisation has long-standing expertise in OSINT, digital verification, political fact-checking, and research-driven analysis of information disorder. TjekDet is also engaged in educational outreach on media literacy and has repeatedly served as a practical expertise partner in academic research projects, providing empirical insights, access to real-world case material, and methodological input to researchers.
