Resume

The partnership of Center for Disaster Preparedness Foundation (CDP) & Nunca Mas respond & address the shrinking democratic space in the Philippines brought about by the anti-terrorism law’s passage & the planned replacement of the disaster risk reduction & management law amidst the pandemic. Civil society organizations (CSO) are under attack. The two laws are the latest examples of constricting the space and maneuverability of civil society to operate in supposedly a democratic society. The partnership engagement will influence & sustain the momentum of ongoing policy advocacy in the Congress & the Supreme Court (SC). The target groups are CSOs, legislators, national/local government units & local communities/general public. Target groups participate in identified project advocacy activities in webinars & conversations. The communities will be reached by information, & educational & communication materials.
