Resume

'Humanitarian action and preparedness response to forest fires in Bolivia' will address the forest fire emergency in Santa Cruz Department. We will focus on four sectors to ensure that the needs of the affected population are met: WASH, HEALTH, EMERGENCY FSL, PREPAREDNESS. i) Access and availability of water for human and livestock consumption; ii) Primary health care campaigns for physical and psychosocial support; iii) Voucher based assistance and provision of food items for the restoration of sustainable agricultural production systems; and iv) Strengthen local capacities in fire prevention and management to reduce risk and improve community response to future emergencies. The intervention was designed in collaboration with indigenous and municipal authorities from San Antonio de Lomerío and San Rafael de Velasco, located in Santa Cruz Department, the region hardest hit by the emergency.
