Resume

This 6 months project will be implemented in 30 villages in Tamou commune in the Tillaberi region, south-west Niger. The objective is to improve the knowledge of Covid-19 and apply basic hygiene measures to protect themselves and others from the virus. This will be done to prevent the deterioration of human assets and rights, social cohesion and livelihoods, and to protect, assist and advocate for the groups most vulnerable to the pandemic. In particular, it aims to work in accordance with the GHRP strategies of: 1) Improved access to information and essential water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and health services, and interventions designed to change hygiene practices. 2) Adapted and accurate risk communication, and community engagement for primary prevention and stigma reduction, with special attention to the most vulnerable such as women, people with disabilities and marginalized groups including refugees.
