The project aims to empower and strengthen communities in the Dagbon Traditional Area by fostering ownership and commitment to enhancing literacy competencies in children’s mother tongue within basic public schools. Building on previous interventions focused on intensive advocacy among stakeholders in education and improved literacy competencies of children, this initiative seeks to engage local stakeholders, including parents, educators, CSOs, and community leaders to participate and sustain the education process actively.
