Resume

In Sierra Leone, COVID-19 is starting to look like an urban crisis. This response is a partnership between Dreamtown and the Sierra Leonean organisations Youth Dream Centre and YMCA. The response targets young women living in informal settlements in Eastern Freetown and Western Freetown. The response's specific objectives are 1) To contain the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic in 10 informal settlements in Freetown; and 2) To support the livelihood of vulnerable young women. This is done by providing access to water, sanitation and health (WASH) resources; raising community awareness of COVID-19 protection and response measures in high density informal settlements; providing livelihood support for vulnerable young women; and providing support to women-led businesses.
