Resume

The Active Citizenship for Transformation and Sports (ACTS - Project) builds on the results and challenges of earlier interventions where Local Youth Associations (LYAs) were established together with associated Sports Clubs and Local Gender Groups (LGGs) in 12 communities of Northern Ghana. The ACTS project seeks to revitalise and strengthen the LYAs with capacity and tools to inspire the youth to become active citizens and participating in their community development issues and holding duty bearers accountable. The associations require new energy and tools to continue recruiting new members and leading change in their communities. The project also adds an additional soft skills training and income generating components that targets only girls.
