Resume

The project aims to strengthen the resilience capacity of Makoni district smallholder farmers, to cope with climate shocks. The community-driven climate change adaptation actions will build the resilience of 250 smallholder farmers, particularly women and people affected with TB and /or HIV, through the adoption of climate-smart agricultural techniques, promoting additional sustainable livelihoods, and facilitating market linkages that will improve food and nutrition security and increase income generation among vulnerable farmers.. The project will enhance community farming structures by creating Farmer’s clubs and facilitating farmers’ dialogue and interaction with local authorities, ministries and the private sector which will ensure the provision of necessary knowledge, technical skills, agricultural inputs ad access to markets among small scale farmers necessary to better adapt to the climate change effects in their territory.
