Resume

This application is being made to respond to the crisis caused by Typhoon Yagi, named in the Philippines as Severe Tropical Storm Enteng. For this proposed intervention, DIB, ALTERPLAN and FDUP seek to assist selected communities in Metro Manila, namely 341 families in Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City, 264 members of NAGKAISA, Inc., an organization of Persons with Disability residing in Barangay 179 in Caloocan City and 116 families in Barangay Coloong, Valenzuela City. The intervention seeks to address the survival needs of selected vulnerable communities, particularly through: - Provision for food, water, and non-food items (e.g., hygiene needs, medicine, replacement of school supplies) as may be identified urgent by the household members - Safer shelter through repairs of typhoon-damaged dwelling structures, as well as community amenities that deliver water and protection needs (e.g., streetlights, stairs that provide evacuation access).
