The proposed intervention seeks to protect and and increase the resilience of conflict traumatised IDP's and host communties in Debreberhan and Ataye, two priorities sites with the largest populations of conflict induced IDP's in the northern part of Ethiopia. This will be done through an integrated approach combining health, nutrition, emergency shelter, non food items and multipurpose cash interventions. The primary target group will be children, pregnant and lactating women, elder, people with dissabilities and other vulnerabilities. The proposed intervention is needed and relevant as the ongoing conflict has destroyed livelihoods, devastated health and basic infrastructure and contributed to crisis and emergency levels of food insecurity. the displaced and host community has extremely limited capacity to cope with, or respond to, humanitarian needs.
