The overall objective of this intervention is to develop a civil society approach to assist the Kenyan government in implementing the new care reform. The intervention focuses on providing preventive community strategies in Nairobi County. The successful implementation of the new care reform will not only benefit the Kenyan Government but in particular the children, families and communities in Kenya. This intervention is a civil society response to ways of overcoming some of the challenges related to implementing the care reform and hopes to contribute to the ongoing national care reform by assisting the government in developing community-based preventive strategies in the family unit, the school, and the community in Nairobi County.
